Three days ago I got new bifocals, two days ago I had to increase the font size on my phone, yesterday I got my first letter from AARP, and today I turned 50! I’m kind of afraid to see what tomorrow brings.
For better or for worse, this is 50. I still haven’t quite wrapped my head around it. In my mind I’m still only about 29. Nonetheless, I’m grateful for each of those 50 years and the life I’ve lived thus far. I am looking forward to all my adventures yet to come even if those adventures happen to include stiff joints, extra gray hairs, or eating dinner at 4. #happybirthday #thisisfifty

Do you prefer morning, afternoon, or evening flights?
I’ve been in Chicago and Indiana this week for a family emergency, and the only decent flights available were first thing in the morning. As I sit at Midway airport, groggy and tired, I’m realizing that I have mixed feelings about early morning flights. I appreciate getting to my destination earlier in the day, but getting up at the crack of dawn is just no fun. I think my favorite time of day to fly is probably mid to late morning. How about you? I find it funny how when the kids were younger I was so obsessed with having the perfect family costumes and taking perfect photos. Now that they’re older, I’m happy as long as we get a photo! Seriously, getting a family photo with teens on a busy night like Halloween is no easy feat! I am loving our Sleepy Hollow theme. We still need to carve all of the pumpkins, but we are pretty much done. The headless horseman digital decorations from @atmosfx look great this year. I am also loving the fun pumpkin digital decorations they have as well. I think we might add a few of those to the tunnel too on Halloween night.

When it comes to the Holidays, do you enjoy the Halloween or Christmas season more? I really enjoy Halloween, but I just LOVE Christmas, especially at Disneyland. It’s definitely my favorite time of the year to visit the parks. No Halloween season is complete without a visit to the pumpkin patch, right?!. I just can’t believe that I was able to rally my teens into going with me another year. Of course, they only agreed to go if they could bring friends.
I knew not to push my luck and force too much time together, hence no family photo, but I did get individual ones, so I’ll take that as a win. Why didn’t anyone warn me that getting teens excited to do anything would be this hard?
Although, this is a perfect pumpkin patch for all ages. It has just about something for everyone. This one is called Spina Farms, and it is located in Morgan Hill, California. It has a huge corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin blasters, great food, music, and tons of pumpkins. 🎃

This is our favorite pumpkin patch ever. We’ve been coming here since the kids were little, and it’s been fun to see how it’s grown over the years.
