Don’t forget the snacks! 😂 Who are you sharing your location with? And more importantly, can they handle a search and rescue mission? 🐍
I’m still swooning over our time in the Peruvian Amazon. It may have been one of the most remote places we’ve ever stayed, but it was also one of the most incredible.
We spent four days at Posada Amazonas, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and creatures of the rainforest. Spiders, snakes, monkeys, and all! It was wild, a little creepy at times, and absolutely unforgettable.
Of all the amazing places we visited in Peru, the Amazon may have been my favorite. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
And now, of course, I’m already dreaming up big adventures for 2027.
Any suggestions?

At 51, these words feel more poignant than ever.
At some point, you realize just how quickly the years are moving, and that “someday” isn’t something you can count on.
I want to see as much of this world as I can. Go to the places I’ve dreamed about. Try new things. Take the trip. Have the experience. Be present for all of it. Because one day you wake up and realize the time isn’t someday.
The time is now.

It really does feel like winning the lottery when you hear, “The cabin doors are now closed,” and there’s still an empty seat next to you! ✈️🥳
Anyone else get ridiculously excited about this? It seriously made my day!

Now I am obsessivly searching the internet to find some porch light masks of my own. I haven’t found the exact ones, but I’ve found a few that are pretty darn close.
Comment “Mask” and I will dm you a link to the ones I found.

Do you tap the plane before you board? ✈️
Believe it or not, for as much as I fly, I’m actually a nervous flyer. For some reason, my trusty little tap, tap, tap calms my nerves just a bit.
Please tell me I’m not the only one with a pre-flight superstition. 😂

Just a reminder that you can’t please everyone. Apparently, neither can Machu Picchu. 😂

I had the chance to try the grasshopper popsicle at Filoli’s Nightfall… yes, those are real grasshoppers. 😂
And you know what? It was actually pretty good… once you get past the crunch. 😬🦗
Would you try it?

Filoli Nightfall might be one of the coolest Halloween events we’ve experienced. 🎃
We wandered through a mansion being reclaimed by nature, followed glowing trails through the redwoods and discovered a hidden Witches’ Village.
And don’t even get me started on the grasshopper popsicle I tried… and yes, it had a real grasshopper in it! 🦗😆
The entire evening felt spooky, magical and just a little eerie, but it wasn’t too scary for the kids. It was such a fun night and one of those experiences that makes you feel like a kid again.
Filoli Nightfall runs now through November 1. You can find the link in my bio!

I’m officially in my bird era… specifically, my crow era. 🐦⬛
Please tell me I’m not the only one who suddenly finds birds fascinating after 50.

The calendar says fall, but the weather still says summer… so I’m dressing accordingly. ☀️
Which works out perfectly because I just got this new outfit from @ripskirt_hawaii , and I plan on wearing the heck out of it for as long as this warm weather sticks around.
Their whole vibe is travel-inspired clothing made for “living like you’re on vacation.” And really… who doesn’t want a little more of that in their everyday life?

This might be one of my favorite fall DIYs. These succulent Cinderella pumpkins are so easy to make, last all season long, and make a beautiful Thanksgiving centerpiece.
The best part? There’s no cutting into the pumpkin, and when the season is over, you can replant the succulents and keep enjoying them.
Make one on your own, or grab some friends, pour something festive, and turn it into a fall friends’ night. 🍷🎃
Comment “PUMPKIN” and I’ll DM you the full supply list and step-by-step instructions.
