If you’ve ever taken your family to Disneyland, then you already know this universal truth: once your head hits that hotel pillow, you’re out like a light.
So choosing the right place to stay matters… big time.
On our latest trip, we decided to switch things up and stay at the Hilton Anaheim for the very first time, and we were pleasantly surprised. Not only is it one of the closest full-service hotels to Disneyland, but it just wrapped up a multi-million-dollar renovation, and you can feel the glow-up the second you walk through the doors.

First Impressions: Bright, Modern, and Actually Feels New

The moment we stepped into the lobby, I had that “Okay, Hilton, I see you” moment. Everything felt refreshed, with modern finishes, cozy seating areas where you can collapse after a long day in the parks, and a buzz in the air that elevated the space without being stuffy.
It’s the kind of lobby where kids feel welcome, adults feel relaxed, and moms feel like they made an excellent vacation decision.

The Rooms: Fresh, Clean, and Quiet

Our room was completely renovated, with clean lines, comfortable beds, updated bathrooms, and enough space to avoid tripping over everyone’s backpacks and popcorn buckets.
And can we talk about the soundproofing? Disneyland exhaustion mixed with a quiet hotel room = the best sleep I’ve had in months. I’m not saying I considered moving in permanently… but I’m also not NOT saying that.

Location, Location, Location

From the Hilton Anaheim, you can walk to Disneyland in just under 20 minutes. You can also take a quick ART shuttle if your feet are in post-park meltdown mode. We loved being close enough to pop back mid-day for a rest or for some much-needed pool time.
If you’re traveling with kids, teens, or anyone who needs “a little break before the fireworks,” this location is gold. It’s not as close as some of the hotels on Harbor Blvd, but having all the full-service amenities was worth the extra 5 -10 minutes of walking. Additionally, there are convenience stores and places to grab breakfast or dinner along the way, which makes the location even more convenient.

Amenities We Actually Used (and Loved)

  • The Pool: Huge, clean, and perfect for letting the kids burn whatever mysterious leftover energy they still have after ten hours at Disney. There is also a full splash pad, which is terrific if you have little kids. Additionally, there’s also a poolside restaurant that looked fantastic.
  • Coffee shop and Market in the lobby: Moms need caffeine. This is science. I also stopped here a couple of times for fast bites and snacks.
  • Fitness center: I looked at it. That counts.
  • Dining options: Easy, convenient, kid-approved. We actually had a wonderful dinner at Poppy’s the first night we arrived. The ambiance was lovely and the food was terrific. I had the Pacific linguine, which was delicious and filling.

The Renovation: What’s New?

The Hilton Anaheim’s multi-million-dollar renovation included:
  • Fully remodeled guest rooms
  • Updated common areas and lobby
  • Modernized meeting and event spaces
  • Refreshed dining outlets
  • Upgraded tech and in-room amenities
Everything feels cleaner, brighter, and much more in line with what families expect from a Disneyland-area hotel in 2025.

Final Thoughts

If you’re heading to Disneyland and want a hotel that’s freshly renovated, family-friendly, and walkable, the Hilton Anaheim is absolutely worth a spot on your list.
We loved staying here, and honestly, there’s something so nice about ending a long day in the parks in a room that feels new, comfortable, and designed with tired parents in mind.
Would we stay again? Absolutely. Should you? If you love modern updates, good sleep, and being close to Disney… then 1000% yes.
