“Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.” ―
It’s too important a conversation to have just once. Let’s face it: kids seem to hear only half of what we say. (At least mine do) . That’s why I’m partnering with @thenewdrugtalk, to help parents keep the dialogue going and make sure the message actually lands.
In a recent survey, 73% of California parents said they had talked with their child about prescription pill misuse, while only 25% of teens recalled having that conversation. So why not increase the odds of our kids really listening and understanding the risks involved with fentanyl and prescription pills? This conversation is important and deserves to be said more than once.

Just over here wondering why I can’t do Disney like I used to do Disney?! 🏰
I headed down to Southern California this weekend to meet up with my bestie for some much-needed girl time. Of course, part of that included an overnight trip to Disneyland to see all of the Halloween decor!
And let me tell you, we were WORN OUT.
I used to be able to easily pull off a 12-hour Disney day and wake up ready to do it all over again. Now? Apparently, I need a recovery day just to recover from my Disney day.
Has time finally caught up with me?!
Don’t get me wrong, we had an absolute blast! But somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost my Disney stamina. I am thinking it might be because I went into this weekend already exhausted. But nonetheless, I officially need a vacation from my vacation!
Please tell me I’m not the only one!

These pumpkin bars seriously don’t last long in our house! 🎃 They’re one of those fall treats I make thinking we’ll have leftovers for a few days… but somehow they always disappear.
They’re easy to make, absolutely delicious, and perfect for when you’re craving a little something sweet and pumpkin-y.
Trust me, you’ll want to save this one!
Comment “BARS” and I’ll DM you the link to the full recipe! 🧡 I also have it linked in my bio.

Another trip to the pumpkin patch in the books! 🎃🍂
I’m honestly shocked we managed to find a night when all four of us were free! As the kids get older, these little family outings are getting harder and harder to pull off, which makes me appreciate them even more.
We’ve been coming to Spina Farms in Morgan Hill, California, since the kids were little, and it’s been crazy watching this place grow over the years. It’s easily one of our favorite pumpkin patches in the Bay Area, with a little something for everyone.
The kids may be getting older, but I’m not ready to give up our pumpkin patch tradition just yet! 🧡

Don’t forget the snacks! 😂 Who are you sharing your location with? And more importantly, can they handle a search and rescue mission? 🐍
I’m still swooning over our time in the Peruvian Amazon. It may have been one of the most remote places we’ve ever stayed, but it was also one of the most incredible.
We spent four days at Posada Amazonas, surrounded by the sights, sounds, and creatures of the rainforest. Spiders, snakes, monkeys, and all! It was wild, a little creepy at times, and absolutely unforgettable.
Of all the amazing places we visited in Peru, the Amazon may have been my favorite. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
And now, of course, I’m already dreaming up big adventures for 2027.
Any suggestions?

At 51, these words feel more poignant than ever.
At some point, you realize just how quickly the years are moving, and that “someday” isn’t something you can count on.
I want to see as much of this world as I can. Go to the places I’ve dreamed about. Try new things. Take the trip. Have the experience. Be present for all of it. Because one day you wake up and realize the time isn’t someday.
The time is now.

It really does feel like winning the lottery when you hear, “The cabin doors are now closed,” and there’s still an empty seat next to you! ✈️🥳
Anyone else get ridiculously excited about this? It seriously made my day!

Do you tap the plane before you board? ✈️
Believe it or not, for as much as I fly, I’m actually a nervous flyer. For some reason, my trusty little tap, tap, tap calms my nerves just a bit.
Please tell me I’m not the only one with a pre-flight superstition. 😂
