I’m scared of the open sea. Claustrophobic too. Yet I didn’t think twice about leaping off a boat and swimming into a sea cave along the Amalfi coast.
Sure, there was a mini panic moment (okay, a big one that you would’ve seen had I let the clip keep rolling), but it turned into a memory I’ll never forget—and honestly, I’d probably do it all over again.
Travel me makes completely different decisions than day-to-day me… but somehow, these decisions turn into some of the best memories and stories.

Tucked just a few miles north of Kapalua, this dreamy little gem is actually labeled “Magical Enchanted Forest” on Google Maps—and believe me, it lives up to the name.
This little slice of magic is part of the Honolua Bay Access Trail (only about half a mile round-trip). The trail winds through a canopy of towering trees, wild vines, and sunlight so dreamy it feels like a real-life fairytale.

Aloha! When it comes to the beach, are you a get in and ride the wave type, or are you more of a lay in the sand and soak in the sun? For me, I get in the water as long as the water is clear, warm, and I can see what’s coming at me. The beach at Napili Bay checks all of these boxes. The Napili area is my favorite spot on Maui. I love that it’s super laid back and that there are no high-rises in sight. It’s been a few years since we’ve last visited and it feels so good to finally be back in this little corner of the world.
