These arches are one of my favorite DIY decorations because they can stay up from October all the way through January! 🎃🎄

Here’s a little sneak peek at our Halloween tunnel so far! 👻🎃
It’s still a work in progress, and I honestly can’t believe how far behind we are this year! The rain last week really threw a wrench in our plans and set us back quite a bit. We don’t have the videos up yet, but we will. I’m super excited how we’re doing them this year.

We still have no idea why Spud is so afraid of our front yard. And before anyone blames the Halloween decorations, this fear started long before we put them up.
I can’t help but wonder if he’s remembering something from his past. That’s one of the hardest parts about having a rescue. You don’t know what they experienced before they came into your life, or what might still be affecting them. I wish he could just tell us what’s wrong.

It’s too important a conversation to have just once. Let’s face it: kids seem to hear only half of what we say. (At least mine do) . That’s why I’m partnering with @thenewdrugtalk, to help parents keep the dialogue going and make sure the message actually lands.
In a recent survey, 73% of California parents said they had talked with their child about prescription pill misuse, while only 25% of teens recalled having that conversation. So why not increase the odds of our kids really listening and understanding the risks involved with fentanyl and prescription pills? This conversation is important and deserves to be said more than once.

Just over here wondering why I can’t do Disney like I used to do Disney?! 🏰
I headed down to Southern California this weekend to meet up with my bestie for some much-needed girl time. Of course, part of that included an overnight trip to Disneyland to see all of the Halloween decor!
And let me tell you, we were WORN OUT.
I used to be able to easily pull off a 12-hour Disney day and wake up ready to do it all over again. Now? Apparently, I need a recovery day just to recover from my Disney day.
Has time finally caught up with me?!
Don’t get me wrong, we had an absolute blast! But somewhere along the way, I seem to have lost my Disney stamina. I am thinking it might be because I went into this weekend already exhausted. But nonetheless, I officially need a vacation from my vacation!
Please tell me I’m not the only one!

Another trip to the pumpkin patch in the books! 🎃🍂
I’m honestly shocked we managed to find a night when all four of us were free! As the kids get older, these little family outings are getting harder and harder to pull off, which makes me appreciate them even more.
We’ve been coming to Spina Farms in Morgan Hill, California, since the kids were little, and it’s been crazy watching this place grow over the years. It’s easily one of our favorite pumpkin patches in the Bay Area, with a little something for everyone.
The kids may be getting older, but I’m not ready to give up our pumpkin patch tradition just yet! 🧡
