Headed to Greece? Here’s the Ultimate Greece Packing List
There’s something about Greece that makes you pack differently.
After packing for Italy the previous summer, I quickly realized Greece called for a completely different wardrobe. Instead of linen pants, comfortable walking shoes, and outfits that could take me from museums to dinner, I found myself reaching for breezy dresses, swimsuits, sandals, and lightweight pieces that felt right at home on the islands.
During our nearly two weeks exploring Athens, Santorini, and Naxos, I wore almost everything I packed and almost nothing I would have packed for Italy.
Greece is effortlessly stylish, but it’s also wonderfully relaxed. Your days are likely to be spent wandering whitewashed villages, lounging on the beach, hopping on ferries, and lingering over long dinners by the sea. That means your suitcase should focus on versatile, lightweight pieces that can keep up with it all without weighing you down.
If you’re wondering what to pack for Greece in the summer, here’s exactly what I’d bring again.

Final Thoughts
Packing for Greece is refreshingly simple. With warm weather, laid-back island vibes, and plenty of beach time, you’ll likely reach for breezy dresses, swimsuits, and comfortable sandals more than anything else.
One piece of advice? Leave a little extra room in your suitcase. My daughter and I couldn’t resist the charming boutiques scattered throughout the islands, and we both came home with a few new dresses that have become some of our favorite travel souvenirs. Sometimes the best thing you pack is a little extra space.
