Have you been somewhere with your kids that you would love to revisit with just your significant other? My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this summer and I’ve been researching where we should go to celebrate.

I’ve been looking through our photos and videos from Italy, specifically the Amalfi Coast, and I keep thinking about how much I would love to go back for a romantic getaway.

I think that I’ve always had that urge… even before kids. 😂
If there’s one bit of advice I can offer to other parents, it is to travel with your kids as much as you can and as early as possible. It only gets harder and more expensive to as they get older. I’m truly grateful for all the memories we’ve been able to make so far.
I’m currently trying to figure out and fit in our Japan trip this summer. So if anybody has any Japan advice, I’m all ears.

We remodeled my daughter’s room and her one ask was to have wisteria hanging from the ceiling. I loved the idea, but I didn’t love the idea of nailing or drilling holes into the ceiling. To avoid damaging the ceiling, we came up with the idea of making a lightweight trellis and attaching it to the ceiling with Velcro Command Strips. We love how this DIY wisteria project turned out, and she loves sleeping below a canopy of wisteria. I’ve waited a year to post this project because I wanted to make sure it held up, and guess what? It did! The Wisteria Wonderland looks just as wonderful as the day we made it. The command strips held it in place and it has not budged. I really love how this project turned out. We are contemplating expanding and adding more. What do you think? Italy and a gelato - Yes, Please! Only a couple more months and Italy will be warm enough for beach days like this again!

I loved our time in Cinque Terre. I would always recommend staying a night or two in one of the five small villages instead of just visiting for a day trip. Doing so, you get to enjoy the beautiful scenery, beaches, and village life. We stayed in Vernazza, my favorite of the five small towns. The mistake I made was thinking that we always need to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi-pass in order to enjoy our day at Disneyland.

For our most recent trip, we decided not to get the Lightning Lane Multi-passes, and believe or not, we still rode nearly everything we wanted to ride. Even better, we all felt more relaxed during this visit than we usually do. There is something said for not having to be on your phone scheduling rides. There’s also something said for not having a schedule at all. We truly enjoyed being able to just wander around, explore, and discover things we hadn’t discovered before. Yes, some lines were a bit tedious, but the majority of them seemed to go by fairly quick.

Now, this doesn’t mean that I won’t ever splurge and get the lightning lane multipass. There are days that it comes in really handy. I’ve just learned that, especially if I want to save some money, I don’t need to get the passes for every day of our trip or every time we visit.
