Equipment

  • 1 5x9 loaf pan

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbls vegetable oil
  • cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 large over-ripe bananas
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Grease bottom and sides of your loaf pan.
  • Mash the bananas.
  • Mix flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, oil, milk, egg and mashed bananas. Beat on low to medium speed for 30-45 seconds.
  • Mix in the chocolate chips and walnuts until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour the mixture into your loaf pan.
  • Bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Note: If you use smaller loaf pans be sure to cut down the cook time. If I use smaller loaf pans, I usually start checking the bread after 30 minutes.
  • Let cool and remove your bread from the loaf pan. Let completely cool before slicing. Enjoy!
